BLOG: Spring At Last
BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- Temperatures Friday are springlike ahead of the calendar. We top out in the mid 70s with overnight lows in the low to mid 40s.
But the weekend will most definitely be cooler, with temperatures no higher than the 60s Saturday, and then the 50s on Sunday. Any clouds early Saturday should break for sunshine, and it won't be as windy as it will be Friday. High pressure promotes a good deal of sunshine on Sunday, and then the focus of our attention will be quickly turning to the west, where a new wave of low pressure will be forming in the northern and central Plains.
While the actual low will probably track through the Great Lakes Monday and then into southeastern Canada early Monday night, a warm front that will be moving out ahead of it should generate plenty of clouds, and perhaps some rain Monday.
The timing appears to be faster than what we were anticipating Thursday, and the picture will be truly getting "muddled" on Monday night, Tuesday and Wednesday. While some of the guidance is trying to imply that a cold front lagging behind the wave will "stall" over the mid-Atlantic states, and it could be a catalyst for some more rain on Tuesday, the current G.F.S. solution is leaning more towards portraying it as a dry day. If a very deep upper-level trough digs into the East during the later stages of next week, it'll be unsettled with a few pockets of rain -- perhaps mixing with some wet snow in some of the colder spots.
Have a good weekend!!!
