BLOG: Spring Ahead

No real changes from our thinking yesterday morning, though we are more confident with regard to the forecast on Wednesday, at least from a cloud cover and precipitation standpoint.

Winds will be the issue today with gusts in the neighborhood of 30 mph this afternoon before the pressure gradient relaxes overnight. Not much to worry about tomorrow or Tuesday, though the week will begin on a cooler note as colder air filters into the region. Clouds will increase Tuesday evening with rain beginning overnight. Rainfall amounts do not appear that they will be overly heavy thanks to a fairly weak flow off of the Gulf of Mexico in advance of the storm system in question... but given the amount of rain we've had recently it won't take much to create problems
once again, at least on some of the most swollen rivers and tributaries in the area. Clearing should begin Wednesday evening as high pressure makes a return with a weak ridge setting up across the Southeast. This will allow us to warm up a bit to end the week. In fact, we could be making a run at 60 degrees as early as Wednesday... warming up further as we close out the week and then cooler next weekend.

Have a great day!
