BLOG: Ravens Bounce Back
The view of week 3 is one still in near sight, and it looks great from where any Ravens fan stands. That said, I'll caution a sense of over excitement. While you may be justified in feeling rejuvenated after a 37-7 cake-walk of a win — be careful. Careful not to make the same mistake you did between weeks 1 and 2. Rather, use the lessons learned between weeks 2 and 3 to your advantage. Channel whatever you did and whatever you used to get a 37-7 road win over the Rams, and take it with you along the journey. That's what I'd tell the team.
Week 2 reminded of a simple but important fact of the NFL -- any team, any week -- if you're caught sleeping. The Baltimore Ravens woke up in St. Louis. I hope they remain awake. Step one is the bounce back. Step two is doing it consistently. There are more steps to go, and this team can navigate them — that is, assuming their eyes are open. A 2-1 record is where they should be, one way or another. The good news is that weeks 1 and 3 are who this team can be. Stay the course, and use what you've learned to your advantage. Every step forward is progress, and that's what 37-7 looks like to me.
