BLOG: Last Of March, First Of April

Saturday: Maybe an early morning shower as low pressure moves from near BWI to off the Atlantic Coast by afternoon. Relatively moist breezes from the northeast will keep low clouds around for much of the day, though there could be a few peeks of sun later in the afternoon.

Saturday night: Clouds gradually break.

Sunday: Milder! Some morning sun yields to clouds as next low pressure moves rapidly from southeast from Lake Huron in the a.m. to SE PA in the afternoon. Some showers may arrive later in afternoon and in the early evening.

Monday: Breezy! Active breezes from the northwest import drier air with lots of sun as low departs and Canadian high builds toward interior NE. Gusts could hit 25 mph at midday ... then diminishing in p.m.

Tuesday: Sunshine yields to clouds as low pressure #2 moves from Ohio Valley to the Mid Atlantic states by Tuesday night. Some showers and perhaps a thunderstorm could occur in the afternoon as instability increases (due to a surge of milder air near the surface.)  Temps will hit 70 (or maybe higher) in the afternoon.

Wednesday - through early next weekend: Dry but cool NW flow aloft prevails as block in the Atlantic maintains trough over eastern Canada. We have not had this pattern much at all this winter nor spring. If it were winter it would be quite cold, but higher April sun angle means mild afternoon, but cool nights.
