BLOG: Hello Sunshine
High pressure has taken hold of our weather pattern and will dominate for the next few days. We will stay dry as long as it's in control, while temperatures start another climb. Not today, though. There is still a chill in the air with the high right over us, but warmer air will move our way as it drifts off to the southeast Wednesday.
Temperatures have topped out near 70 in Denver and Chicago Tuesday afternoon. That is the air moving our way. We will drop into the 20s overnight before rebounding to near 60 Wednesday afternoon. Thursday will be even warmer with highs in the upper 60s. But clouds will also be on the increase Thursday as the next storm approaches.
There is the chance for rain Thursday night into Friday as that storm moves through. There is even the chance for a thunderstorm. Cooler air will follow the front when it leaves us for the weekend. Expect highs in the upper 40s/near 50 degrees on Saturday and then the 50s on Sunday. Another storm will move our way later Sunday into Monday.
