BLOG: Easter Weekend Forecast

A warm front near the region this morning will continue to bring us some shower and thunderstorm activity, but as the front pushes northward into Pennsylvania, warm air will surge into the region as clouds break for some sunshine. This will send temperatures toward 70, making for a pretty nice start to  the weekend. There will be some clouds that linger tonight and tomorrow as well, but with the warm front well to the north and a cold front stalled out from northeast to southwest across PA, we'll remain dry and mild. That front will remain stalled there through tomorrow and into Monday; while there is a slight chance for a shower or thunderstorm both days, with Monday being a little more likely, most of the time for Easter Sunday and the start of next week will be rainfree and pleasant.

That front will lift even further to the north Tuesday and Wednesday as another area of low pressure lifts northeastward into the Great Lakes. With winds from the southwest Tuesday into Wednesday, highs will be in the 80s thanks to partial sunshine and a breeze. It is likely they will stay rain-free, and be just a couple of very nice spring days. The cold front associated with that low will cross our area Thursday with a couple of thunderstorms, and more seasonable weather will return for Friday.
