BLOG: Cold And Windy
BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- The overall weather pattern looks to stay in place over the next several days. A trough will be positioned over the eastern United States causing cold weather throughout the viewing area. The immediate time frame will feature a weak storm system that will pass to the south and west of the region. This clipper will cause an area of snow from the Ohio River Valley down into the Appalachian Mountains. The weather in the viewing area will be cold with a mostly sunny sk y.
The overall weather that the trough will cause is flurries to the north and west of the city and cold temperatures. The temperatures will get dip even more by mid week as another push of cold air mass will come into the viewing area.
The major weather in the Northeast will be the lake-effect snow near the Great Lakes and the cold air mass that will be in the region for a while. The overall weather theme is no major storm systems in sight to talk about just a cold and dry pattern for the viewing area.
