BLOG: Another Incredible Winter Day

It's another incredible winter day. Yes, we know that we keep writing this over and over, but it just keeps happening. We are making another run at 80 degrees. We are running 25 degrees above the average of 53 degrees. We will be close, but won't quite hit the record of 83 degrees set back in 2007. We won't be running at 80 degrees over the next 5 days, but will still be way above average.

There are two fronts out there moving our way. One is up over Canada. It has chilly air behind it. That front will sink down into New England Thursday. At the same time, another front over the Plains will move our way. The Plains front will block the northern front, keeping the chilly air away. But between the two, more clouds will move in Thursday and then the chance for showers or a thunderstorm Thursday night, Friday and maybe still into Saturday before clearing out.

High pressure will take over again by the end of the weekend. That means the return of sunshine and another warmup. Highs in the 60s will jump back to the 70s early next week. Believe it or not, we have another very warm week heading our way.
