BLOG: A Tad More Snow
Two changes from earlier. Think we need to talk about the chance for a snow or rain shower Saturday. The projected track of that clipper is a little too close to go with a completely dry forcast. In fact there could be a period of snow just to the north that gives a coating to an inch or two. Also with tomorrow's system I think we need to talk about the potential for a coating to an inch, mainly during the morning to midday.
The storm that exceeded the expectations we had earlier this week churned out well over an inch and a half of liquid around the Greater Baltimore and D.C. Metropolitan Areas. Baltimore and most of its surrounding areas had a good 8-12 or locally 14 inches altogether, and the "bull's-eye" along the I-95 corridor occurred between Philadelphia and Boston. New York City has seen about 17 or 18 inches.
Today, while it will be windy, the sun will be out with most temperatures in the mid and upper-30s, and tonight will be chilly. We talked about tomorrow's "weak clipper". While there may be some snow showers around in the morning, the accumulations will average less than an inch, and snow showers could mix with a little rain before all is said and done.
Have a good day !!!
