Big Ben Suspended 6 Games

Ben Roethlisberger has been suspended by the NFL for 6 games without pay for 'conduct detrimental to the NFL in violation of the league's personal conduct policy.'

Ben must also undergo a 'comprehensive behavioral evaluation by medical professionals' according the the NFL website.  As a result, Ben will miss games against The Falcons, Titans, Bucs, RAVENS and BROWNS and Dolphins.  The Steelers website had information from the official NFL press release.

The Bengals are the only AFC North team not fortunate enough to play Pittsburgh in the first 6 weeks of the season.  The Bengals always have this inferiority complex for anything Pittsburgh.  So, this must really sting for them.  Ravens fans, on the other hand?  Well, let's just say October 3rd will be anticipated.  Newly aquired QB Byron Leftwich should be at the helm for the Black & Gold.

The rumors were that the Rams were interested in taking Ben off the Steelers plate.  They have said no thanks.  No thanks to an elite QB that has won 2 Super Bowls.  This is not about football or stats.  The Steelers are trying to deal Ben.  And, they should.
