Summer is right around the corner. It will soon be time to spend long sunny afternoons at the pool and beach. Learning to swim can be easy and fun with these local Baltimore facilities. Swimming is an important life skill to have for everyone of any age. This family center offers an indoor pool with four lanes and provides the perfect opportunity for year-round swimming. Classes start at six months of age and continue for children and adults of all ages. Classes range in structure and include Mommy & me, group and individual instruction. Classes are designed for a variety of skill levels including beginner and intermediate. As you pass each swim level you will be promoted to the next class to master more involved skills and techniques. At Merritt Athletic Club, their "go for the gold" approach is sure to get your child excited to swim. Each child enrolled in their swim school receives a Michael Phelps poster. As they master new skills, they are given gold stickers to fill their poster with. Upon completion of their poster, each child receives a special prize. Adult lessons are offered, as well.
