Best Brunches In Baltimore

One of the best things to do on the weekend is enjoy brunch. Somehow, the food always seems to taste just a little bit better. Baltimore has some excellent places to go that are sure to please any appetite.

If you enjoy crepes, this is the brunch for you. Offerings include the crepe Baltimorean (shredded swiss cheese, tomatoes, sauteed spinach and turkey) and crepe Provencale (sauteed shrimp, garlic, sea scallops, onion, goat cheese and white wine sauce). But save room for dessert! Sweet crepes include the crepe royale (bananas, strawberries and homemade chocolate sauce).

Gertrude's has been chosen as Best Brunch by Baltimore Magazine. You can enjoy dishes like eggs benedict, a smoked fish plate or crab cakes. Meli was named the Best New Restaurant by Baltimore Magazine, and looking at the brunch menu, it's not hard to see why. Brunch offerings include French toast, a smoked salmon plate, crab cakes and a variety of omelets. On the off chance you're still hungry, indulge in crème brulee or a chocolate mousse bomb.

Every time a Best of Baltimore edition comes out, it's almost a given that Miss Shirley's will be on there somewhere. Food Network Magazine even gave it the Best Breakfast Dish in Maryland award for Shirley's Affair With Oscar. Everything on the menu is delicious and you can have everything from a bagel (with salmon, cream cheese, capers and more) to pumpkin cheesecake stuffed French toast.

The Village Square Café offers many delicious items. Enjoy a stack of buttermilk pancakes or build an omelet. You can have a margherita or pepperoni pizza or make your own from an extensive list of toppings.
