Bart Scott Previews The Divisional Round Of The NFL Playoffs

Bart Scott of the NFL on CBS joined the Scott Garceau Show with Jeremy Conn and Jason La Canfora to cover the Divisional Round of the NFL Playoffs. The Ravens have met the Patriots in the playoffs 4 times in the last 6 years. Scott asked Bart to pick one word to describe this match-up. "Well I think competitive. You know these guys have went at it the last couple years. They're not in the same division but they're two teams who respect each other. You think about Dean Pees being on the coaching staff he has ties to New England, so there is a great level of mutual respect. The Patriots have to be aware; I'm sure when they were watching they were hoping they would draw Pittsburgh. They won't say that but I guarantee that they were hoping they were going to get Pittsburgh. Pittsburgh presents different problems, but problems that they could attack easier."

Bill Belichick is known for taking away what an offense does best. Bart believes that the Patriots secondary will play a huge factor in shutting down the Ravens offense. "Well I think what he might try to do, you think about last week and picking up third down conversions is Owen Daniels. I think he could put Browner on Owen Daniels and put Revis on Torrey Smith and let one of the other guys take care of the other guys. But if he could take away Owen Daniels in the middle of the field with a guy like Browner and take Torrey Smith away, you know they could roll cover or double Steve Smith."
