Baltimore Woman Arrested In Garrett Co. College Double Stabbing

MCHENRY, Md. (WJZ)—A Baltimore woman has been arrested after police say she allegedly stabbed two people at Garrett County College.

The incident happened just before 5:00 p.m. on Thursday in the 600 block of Mosser Road.

At the scene, police say they found two victims suffering stab wounds inside the school's cafeteria.

State Police say 19-year-old Shamaine N. Moore, of Baltimore, was arrested and is expected to be charged with attempted murder, assault, reckless endangerment, with additional charges possible. Police say Moore suffered a laceration during the incident and is being treated for her injuries.

Both victims were transported to Garrett Memorial Hospital and were treated for their injuries. One of the victims was transferred to Ruby Memorial Hospital where police say she continues to undergo treatment.

A preliminary investigation has revealed that the suspect and both victims got into an argument, the supect produced a knifed and then two victims were apparently stabbed. Police say all three appeared to be students at the college.

According to police a knife was recovered from the scene, it is still unknown if it was the weapon used in the stabbings.

Authorities are continuing their investigation.
