Baltimore Police Search For Driver In Fatal Hit & Run

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- Baltimore city police are investigating a fatal hit and run Wednesday night.

Officers were called to the 1300 block of W. North Avenue for a report of an accident, but when they arrived they found a woman who had been struck by a vehicle.

Police say the vehicle left the scene without stopping.

The victim was taken to a local hospital, but later died from her injuries.

Police have now identified the victim as Charlotte Hutcherson, 55, of the 2200 block of N. Fulton Avenue.

Investigators believe a dark-colored Toyota pickup truck was traveling eastbound on North Avenue when it struck the woman. The suspect vehicle should have damage to its front end.
