Baltimore Police Investigate 3 Firebombings
BALTIMORE (AP) -- Police in Baltimore are investigating three overnight incidents involving firebombs in the northwest section of the city.
In the first case, a Molotov cocktail was thrown at the rear, first-floor window of a home just before 1:30 a.m., did not enter and only partially ignited. The second one happened moments later when a Molotov cocktail thrown at an apartment window self-extinguished without causing a fire.
Police say the third incident occurred just before 3 a.m., when a Molotov cocktail thrown through a first-floor apartment window on Liberty Heights Avenue set the window on fire.
A series of firebombing incidents occurred in Baltimore in September but did not lead to serious injuries or major property damage.
