Baltimore police find 6 unattended children in vacant home, youngest 1
The Baltimore Police Department (BPD) said six unattended children were found Monday inside a home in Baltimore that appeared to be vacant.
An officer was called to the 2900 block of East Monument Street on Monday at 11:30 a.m. on a report of child neglect.
At the location, the officer discovered six unsupervised children inside the structure. The ages of the children were 9, 7, 6, 5, 3 and 1.
The officer transported the children to Johns Hopkins Pediatrics, where they were medically evaluated. They were then turned over to a family member, and/or representatives from Child Protective Services, BPD said in a statement.
