BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- Baltimore's police union is distancing itself from the lieutenant who made highly controversial comments about Black Lives Matter protesters.
The FOP sent out a tweet, saying: "The comments and demeanor of Victor Gearhart do not reflect the beliefs or standards of our organization."
Gearhart was suspended after he sent out a department email, saying: "Expect more bad behavior from the thugs of Baltimore."
The email is now part of an internal investigation.
