Autograph Policies? w/video
The Ravens have decided autographs will only be signed after the morning session at Training Camp this year. And, they'll only be signed for kids 6-16 years old.
I have no problem with this. I never understood why an adult had to have an autograph. Even as a kid, I didn't care much. But, that's me. We all have hobbies, I guess. But, the policies go into place because a lot of folks have turned a simple autograph into a business. Only signing for kids won't change that. Some guy will pay a kid $10 to have something signed. Then a new policy will be set.
Well, before we freak out on the Ravens and the policy take a look at this video. It's not an athlete - it's Johnny Depp - but, it is one guy. Look at all the folks trying to get his autograph. It's nuts. Everyone in this crowd will thing Johnny is a jerk if he doesn't sign 'their' napkin. People are never satisfied.
There must be some controls put on crowds seeking attention/autographs. The crowds are growing at training camp. The Ravens are smart to stop any potentially huge problems before something serious happens.
