Annapolis Police Seize Drugs, Arrest 2 In Raids
ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) -- Annapolis police say simultaneous raids at two homes resulted in the seizure of more than $30,000 in drugs and arrests of two men.
Police executed search warrants on the homes just blocks away from each other in the Clay Street community on Wednesday afternoon. Detective Amy Miguez, a police spokeswoman, says the warrants were issued in response to complaints from citizens and information from narcotics investigators.
Miguez says officers seized heroin, marijuana, two handguns and $17,000 in cash from a home on Washington Street.
Cortez Marshall, 19, was arrested on drug charges.
Police also seized heroin from a home on Pleasant Street and arrested Robert Vonzell Taylor, 44, on drug charges.
Marshall was released on a $40,000 bond. Taylor was being held at a detention center on a $45,000 bond.
