2 Students Among Those Injured When School Bus Overturns
MARRIOTTSVILLE, Md. (WJZ) -- Two students are among those injured when a school bus overturns in Howard County.
It happened around 3:30 p.m. Monday on Interstate-70, east of Marriottsville Road.
Police say four people were on board the private school bus.
Two students, ages 16 and 18, and a 53-year-old school aide were taken to the hospital.
The 71-year-old bus driver did not report being injured.
Investigators believe the driver was cut off by another vehicle in the fast lane and lost control of the bus.
The bus overturned onto its right side in the center grass median.
No other vehicles were involved in the crash.
One lane of eastbound I-70 was closed for about two hours.
