7-Month-Old Baby Survives Car Crash In Md.

FREDERICK, Md. (AP) -- Maryland State Police say a 7-month-old baby will be all right after he was ejected from a car during a crash on U.S. 15 near Frederick.

Sgt. Dave Keller says the child will be released Friday from Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore.

Police say the boy and his mother were hurt in the collision Thursday evening at the Monocacy Boulevard intersection just north of the city. Police haven't released the victims' names.

Authorities say the child was in a car seat when his mother failed to yield while making a left turn from southbound U.S. 15. Their Dodge Stratus was struck in the right rear passenger door by a pickup truck

The roadway was closed for about three hours.

Police say the investigation is continuing.
