2.1 earthquake reported overnight in Maryland's Cecil County

An 2.1 magnitude earthquake was recorded overnight in Maryland's Cecil County.

The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) said the quake hit at 12:41 a.m. near the town of Rising Sun.  

The tremor was recorded at a depth of 5.1 kilometers, the USGS said.

No other details were immediately available.
