16-Year-Old Boy Killed, Young Man Critically Hurt In South LA Shooting

SOUTH LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Police are investigating a shooting that left a 16-year-old dead and a 19-year-old man critically injured in South L.A. on Friday evening.

Los Angeles police Officer Sara Faden said the shooting victims were approached by two males who fired at them numerous times at 5:40 p.m. in the 11200 block of Figueroa Street.

The 16-year-old, identified by the coroner's office as Christian Henriquez of Los Angeles, died at the scene Faden said.

No arrests have been made.
