Watch: Surfers tackle monster waves at the Mavericks Invitational
Big wave surfers from all over the world hit the waters of Half Moon Bay, Calif., to compete in the Mavericks Invitational. When surfing conditions are deemed optimal, 24 competitors are given 48 hours to reach the surfing grounds, where they'll ride waves that can grow to over 40 feet.
