Social Security continues to seize tax refunds to pay off old debts
The Social Security Administration has apparently reneged on a vow to end a practice known as its Treasury Offset Program. The program was instituted to seize the tax refunds of people who have family members with outstanding debt. As Wyatt Andrews found, many people are still having their refunds taken from them.
