Recycling methane gas by generating electricity

New York City produces more than 3 million tons of garbage a year, more than any other U.S. city. A third of that garbage is from food scraps and other organic material. The city has begun a new recycling program that turns organic waste into methane gas and powers homes. Jeff Glor reports.
