Serial Bank Robber Hits Three Fort Worth Banks In Two Days
UPDATE at 3:35 p.m. FORT WORTH (CBSDFW.COM) -- Fort Worth Police sent out an alert Wednesday afternoon warning that the city's serial bank robber had struck again. The suspect robbed another bank, a Wells Fargo, located at 6112 McCart at about 1:30 p.m. The latest robbery is the fourth in less than 48 hours.
FORT WORTH (CBSDFW.COM) - Fort Worth police are looking for a serial robber who has hit three banks over a two day period.
Police released three photos of the robber, one from each of the robberies. He is described as a black man in his early twenties, 5'8" and 160 lbs.
In each of the robberies, the suspect threatened the cashier and demanded money. Police say he has not shown a weapon and had not hurt anyone.
The first robbery happened at the Wells Fargo on 6300 Camp Bowie Blvd. on Monday afternoon, around 4:20.
The next day, the suspect robbed two more banks within an hour, hitting the Bank of America on 5651 East Lancaster Ave. at 12:45 p.m. first. By 1:30 p.m., he made it over to the Wells Fargo at 1001 East Berry St.
The suspect has worn a black jacket and a black beanie hat in each of the robberies.
Police do not have a getaway car description at this time.
