New strategy to tackle violence in Oakland
In a one-on-one interview, CBS News Bay Area's Anne Makovec asked Oakland Mayor Libby Schaaf about a new $6 million grant meant to help prevent violence before it happens. Mayor Schaaf also discussed the state Senate's passage of a bill to allow safe injection sites in San Francisco, Oakland and Los Angeles, and the new lawsuit filed against the Oakland A's proposed Howard Terminal ballpark.
