That Valentine's Day romantic stroll on the beach may have to wait, as a high-surf advisory has been extended through this afternoon for North Bay coastlines, according to the National Weather Service.
More rain and snow are on the way for Northern and Central California. The season's first big storm arrived in the Bay Area in full force Friday night and created hazardous conditions along the coast and on the roads Saturday morning.
Big wave surfers have descended upon the California coast for the Mavericks Surf Contest and are thrilled about the conditions.
