OAKLAND (CBS SF) -- A passenger was shot to death on board a BART train in Oakland.

Witnesses said the gunman shot the passenger just as the train doors were opening and fled. Stunned passengers tried to help the victim, but the man died.
Meantime, the suspect is still at large, and police are combing the area.
The suspect was seen running away from the train after the shooting. He is described as a slim, bald, 6'3" African-American male wearing a green jacket, red and black boxers shorts, and tan military-style boots.
