Uber, Driver Sued Over Crash That Killed Elderly Man In Beverly Hills
BEVERLY HILLS (KCBS) -- The widow and three sons of an elderly man who died after being hit by an Uber car in Beverly Hill has filed a wrongful-death lawsuit against the ride-hailing company and the driver who was behind the wheel.
The 85-year-old victim was run-down in December in a crosswalk at Foothill Road and Third Street.
His family says it thinks the driver was distracted by an electronic device while communicating with Uber.
They're asking for unspecified damages.
