This week, one of America's favorite TV dad's confesses, scandals can be sex crimes, and a reboot we're actually excited about.
Actor Stephen Collins is in hot water this week after he confessed to child molestation on an audio tape released by TMZ. The “7th Heaven” star is currently the target of a sex crimes investigation by the New York Police Department, confessing to exposing himself to a total of three underage girls.
TMZ reports it obtained the recorded confession from Collins wife soon-to-be ex-wife, Faye Grant, during therapy sessions.
“The exposure happened a couple of times” over several years, Collins purportedly says in the audio clip. “She was 11 and then, like, 12 and 13.
“There was one moment of touching where her hand, I put her hand on my penis,” Collins purportedly goes on to say. “It lasted a few seconds, and that was the last time.”
Actress Jennifer Lawrence,24, is finally opening up to the celebrity hacking scandal that her own pictures were at the very center of. In an interview with Vanity Fair, Lawrence stated that the hackers that posted her nude photos online didn’t just start a scandal.
“It is not a scandal. It is a sex crime,” she said about the hackers. “It is a sexual violation. It’s disgusting. The law needs to be changed, and we need to change.”
And those that looked at the pictures? Lawrence believes that would be “a sexual offense.”
Most times, a sequel or reboot is met with a variety of groans and miffed tweets, mocking the very idea. However, once in a blue moon , an idea for a reboot comes along that makes complete sense. Enter: the “Ghostbusters” reboot, that is officially being directed by “Bridesmaid” director Paul Fiege.
Plans have finally been put in place for a female-led reboot of the classic comedy that originally starred Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, andHarold Ramis.
Casting hasn’t been announced yet, but can we go ahead and put Kristen Wiig, Melissa McCarthy and Maya Rudolph on the shortlist?
Jay Z may have proven to the world that some people are just more important than others; or at least more well-known. While vacationing in Europe with wife Beyonce and daughter Blue Ivy, the rapper was left with a less than thrilled experience when Paris paparazzi attempted to shoot video of the family after being told not to.
Once paparazzi went as far as to say, “Who’s he?” (although it isn’t apparent whether or not this paparazzo has been living under a rock for the last 20 years or if he was simply trying to push the rapper’s buttons.)
In response, Jay Z shot back with “Who are you?” proving once again that America’s closest thing to a royal family doesn’t have time for any nonsense.
As if we didn’t see this coming. Paula Patton has officially filed for divorce from her husband Robin Thicke. The actress is asking for joint custody of their four-year-old son.
Back in February the couple separated amidst allegations of Thicke’s cheating and drug use.
