Survey Finds Many Dangerous Toys On Annual List
BERKELEY (CBS SF) - The annual holiday toy risk report compiled by the California Public Interest Research Group suggests that a number of potentially dangerous and toxic toys are available this year on store shelves.
CALPIRG's 27th annual Trouble in Toyland report, released Tuesday, found substances such as lead, cadmium and phtalates, all of which can harm the development of young children, according to the report.
The toy sampling also found choking hazards, magnets and items that could harm a child's hearing.
The analysis and complete study can be found on the Calpirg website.
