Stanford's Luck Decides To Rest Over Christmas Break

STANFORD (AP) -- Andrew Luck has been traveling around the country enough the past few weeks. He's going to spend Christmas in a hotel room near the Stanford campus.

Stanford's record-setting sophomore quarterback and Heisman Trophy runnerup has crisscrossed the country since helping the Cardinal (11-1) to their most regular-season wins in school history. He needs time to relax for a couple of days before making final preparations for Stanford's first ever appearance in the Orange Bowl.

Most Cardinal football players, who were given Dec. 25 and 26 off, depart from campus Monday. Those who live in the Eastern Time Zone will be allowed to join the team in South Florida.

Luck remains focused on the Jan. 3 game against Virginia Tech and hasn't thought about much else, including his future NFL prospects.
