Several Looting Arrests Made In Lake County Following Valley Fire Devastation

MIDDLETOWN (CBS SF) -- Authorities in Lake County have made several arrests for looting in the wake of the devastating Valley Fire.

Lake County Sheriff's Deputy Brian Martin says anything still standing is a wide open target.

"It's disgusting, unfortunate that people would try and take advantage of a time of crisis like this to take advantage of people," Martin said.

Cal Fire reports about 2,362 fire personal were battling the blaze as of Tuesday morning. Hundreds of additional crews were brought in overnight. As weather cleared, firefighting aircraft were brought in to support control operations.
