SAN JOSE (BCN/CBS SF) -- Police in San Jose are investigating two shootings and a stabbing that happened between late Saturday night and early Sunday morning.
The shooting on the 200 block of North 6th Street near downtown San Jose that left a male victim in critical condition, according to authorities.
Officers responded to an 11:01 p.m. Saturday report of the shooting, which resulted in life-threatening injuries to a man who was taken to a local hospital, according to a 1 a.m. tweet Sunday from San Jose police.
Video from the scene showed numerous police units on a residential street with multiple evidence markers visible on the ground. The incident reportedly happened at a house party.
The suspect and motive is unknown at this time, police said.
The three incidents were in addition to a fatal accident that left a passenger dead and a driver arrested on suspicion of DUI and vehicular manslaughter charges after a late-night, solo vehicle crash in San Jose.
Police later confirmed that the victim would survive his injuries. They also noted that they were investigating two additional stabbings that were reported early Sunday morning.
The second shooting was reported at around 2:11 a.m. Sunday morning on the 1000 block of South First Street. The stabbing was reported at around 2:51 a.m. near the intersection of Market Street and San Fernando Street.
Police did not release any additional details in those two crimes besides the fact that the victims in each incident was expected to survive.
