Retweets Can Be Seen As Endorsements In Criminal Investigations
SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) -- Twitter users beware: retweeting can be seen by the government as endorsements, and even evidence in criminal investigations.
A 22-year-old New York man was arrested this week after an FBI investigation into his attempts to join ISIS revealed he had retweeted messages from the terrorist organization, Gizmodo reported.
A 17-year-old Virginia resident was sentenced to more than 11 years in jail after he admitted to running a Twitter account that was used to develop financial support for ISIS.
