Quake Rumbles Through Santa Cruz Mountains

BOULDER CREEK (CBS SF) -- An earthquake measuring 3.4 jolted residents in the Santa Cruz Mountains awake early Saturday morning, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The USGS said the quake struck around 6:04 a.m. and was centered near Boulder Creek.

The earthquake had a depth of 7.2 miles.

While there was no immediate reports of injury or damage, the shaker was widely felt in the South Bay and Peninsula.
