Police Seek Tie-Wearing Man In San Ramon Bank Robbery

SAN RAMON (CBS SF) -- The San Ramon Police Department is trying to identify a man who wore a jacket, tie and dress shoes to rob a bank just east of Interstate 680 on Monday.

The man walked into the Bank of the West at 140 Sunset Drive in San Ramon at 12:55 p.m. and gave a handwritten note demanding cash to a bank teller, police said.

The teller turned over an undisclosed amount of cash to the suspect, who then fled on foot, police said.

The suspect is described as a white man between 25 and 30 years old, standing about 6 feet 2 inches tall, with a medium build.

He entered the bank wearing a black-and-white baseball cap, a black nylon jacket, purple dress shirt, black tie, gray pants and dark-colored dress shoes, police said.
