Phil Matier: Democratic Hard-Hitters Visit California
SAN FRANCISCO (KCBS)-Sarah Palin will attend a Republican rally in San Jose Thursday afternoon, and on Friday, former president Bill Clinton begins campaigning in California for a number of Democratic candidates.
KCBS and Chronicle Insider Phil Matier said that's not the end of it either. He expects we'll see President Obama and Michelle Obama, and probably former Vice President Al Gore. KCBS' Phil Matier:
Matier said all these high-profile people are coming to town to rev up the Democrats. He added that with many close races in the state, they can't afford not to visit.
While there is no statistical proof that their visits mean a bigger turn out at the polls, Matier commented that it is worth it for them to try to bring out the Democratic vote.
