One Day After Returning To Negotiating Table, BART Talks Cancelled
OAKLAND (KCBS)— One day after returning to the negotiating table, talks between BART and unions representing its workers were called off on Tuesday.
BART said that one of the two unions canceled the negotiating session because of a scheduling conflict.
BART said its latest contract offer will put thousands more dollars in the pockets of BART workers, but the unions denied that and said it would actually cost their members' money.
Governor Jerry Brown's 60-day cooling off period imposed to prevent a strike is set to expire at midnight October 10th.
