Man killed in downtown Oakland shooting
Oakland police said a person was shot and killed Wednesday afternoon in downtown.
The shooting happened around 3 p.m. on the 550 block of 17th Street.
Police said a man in his 30s was found injured at the scene, and that he was taken to a hospital but was pronounced dead.
Investigators are looking into the shooting, and police said the identity of the victim is being withheld until next of kin is notified.
