Motorcyclist Critically Hurt In Head-On Crash In San Francisco
SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) -- A motorcyclist was critically injured in a head-on crash in San Francisco's Castro District on Friday evening, police said Tuesday.
The collision was reported around 7:55 p.m. Friday near Castro and Beaver streets.
The 27-year-old motorcyclist tried to pass another vehicle by riding into oncoming traffic, where he collided head-on with a vehicle traveling the opposite direction, according to police.
He was ejected from the motorcycle and suffered major head and chest injuries. He was taken to a hospital to be treated for his injuries, which were considered life-threatening, police said.
