Man Found Critically Injured In San Francisco Identified After Hospital Asks For Public's Help

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) -- A man who was found critically injured Sunday in San Francisco's Duboce Triangle neighborhood has been identified after hospital officials earlier on Monday asked for the public's help in finding out his name.

The man was found on the ground near Duboce Avenue and Church Street at about 7:30 a.m. Sunday and was taken to the hospital. It was not immediately clear how he was injured, San Francisco General Hospital spokeswoman Rachael Kagan said.

He did not have a wallet, ID or other identifying items with him when he was found, so hospital officials on Monday sought help in determining his identity.

A neighbor called the man's family, who went to the hospital to identify him, Kagan said.
