Goodbye, Pumpkin Spice Latte! Starbucks #PSL Only Available While Supplies Last

EL CERRITO (KBCWtv) -- Like the leaves of fall, the Pumpkin Spice Latte entices us as a harbinger of the season, a beloved tradition filled with color and coffee and flavor and memories, and then -- BAM. It's gone.

Pumpkin Spice Lattes are only in stores until the supplies run out and in Bay Area stores, the syrup supplies are running low. A barista in El Cerrito handed over my latte this morning saying, "Enjoy it, because it will probably be the last day."

Starbucks confirmed to KBCWtv, "Pumpkin Spice Latte is a seasonal beverage, available while supplies last," but added there is no "end date," so if you can find a town where they don't love their PSL, you may be sipping lattes well into spring. Call around. (And let us know, will ya?)

#PSL addicts can try an alternative though. Starbucks unveiled the second-choice alternative, VIA powdered PSL packets, selling in 4-packs for over $6, or on sale at some retail stores. I stocked up for camping trips.

And so, as the Pumpkin Spice Latte fades into fall, what comes next?

Starbucks replied, "As of Nov. 1, Starbucks® beloved handcrafted holiday beverages are available in-store, including returning favorites Caramel Brulée Latte, Peppermint Mocha and the Gingerbread Latte. On Nov. 12, customers can try for the first time, the new Chestnut Praline Latte, our first new holiday handcrafted beverage in five years, in addition to Starbucks® Christmas Blend brewed in our stores or available in whole bean to take home."

We'll try the Praline Late... the #CPL, but not sure if it will evoke the warm memories of autumn like our pumpkin spice.
