SAN FRANCISCO (CBS 5) – Local waters could soon host one of the world's most prestigious sailing events. Ray in Walnut Creek asked this Good Question: What's the latest in the effort to bring the America's Cup to San Francisco Bay?
ANSWER: According to Bob Repke of the Golden Gate Yacht Club, San Francisco would be the perfect place to host the America's Cup because it is a challenging place to sail. Repke also said it could generate up to $1 billion in revenue to the City of San Francisco.
