One of England's top pro teams is touring the Bay Area, hoping to drum up interest in the game.
Rugby has been big in Berkeley for years, thanks to the success of the Cal men's team.
The Harlequins Football Club, who play at Twickenham Stoop in London are training on Treasure Island this week, staying at Fisherman's Wharf and conducting a clinic in East Palo Alto.
Kyle Sincklar, who plays the position of tighthead prop, is pleasantly surprised by how excited Bay Area fans seem to be.
"They might not know of the actual team, but they know the general sport. I think maybe with the USA Sevens doing really well, it seems to be working. They definitely know what the sport of rugby is," Sincklar said.
