Crews halt progress of fire in Marin County that prompted evacuations
SAN RAFAEL -- Authorities in Marin County say that the forward progress of a vegetation fire that led to limited evacuations has been halted, the sheriff announced at 3:40 p.m. on Saturday.
The fire was in the area of Mt. Shasta Drive and Lucas Valley Road near Lucas Valley and Marinwood.
People are asked to avoid the area.
