Courtney Love Joining 'Sons of Anarchy' For Final Season

(CBS NEWS) - Courtney Love is heading to the small screen for the final season of "Sons of Anarchy."

FX has tapped the San Francisco-born rocker to play a pivotal role for season 7, TVLine reported Tuesday.

Love will appear in a multi-episode arc as Ms. Harrison -- the pre-school teacher of Jax's (Charlie Hunnam) eldest son Abel. Her character reportedly takes a special interest in Abel, which will likely catch the attention of the boy's mother, Wendy (Drea de Matteo).

This marks the Hole frontwoman's TV drama debut. She earned a Golden Globe nomination for her role in 1996's "The People vs. Larry Flynt" and also appeared alongside Jim Carrey in the 1999 Andy Kaufman biopic "Man on the Moon."
